It’s part of our mission to provide convenient ways for students across the nation and all over the globe to earn a degree from Nova Southeastern University. That’s why we offer many of our degree programs through distance education, with classes delivered outside the Fort Lauderdale area either online, or at one of our Regional Campuses.
Students don’t have to be on our Fort Lauderdale/Davie campus to have a traditional college experience. Our Regional Campuses allow those who live far from Fort Lauderdale to experience an on-campus atmosphere. Our campuses provide opportunities to develop friendships, form study groups and use videoconferencing equipment to connect with the main campus.

With an Internet connection, Nova Southeastern University students can participate in online courses from any location in the world. These programs provide Web-based instruction, online access to course content and a wide range of activities, including frequent student-teacher and student-student communication.

The following information is provided in compliance with state regulations related to higher education. Some state laws require an institution to provide students with specific disclosures. The following statements are presented in order to comply with these requirements. Students enrolled in NSU online programs and residing in the states listed below should review this information.
Educator Preparation Programs: State authorization to provide a program related to the preparation of teachers or other P-12 school/system personnel does not indicate eligibility for an Alabama certificate. Applicants who complete an educator preparation program at an institution outside of Alabama must apply for an Alabama professional educator or professional leadership certificate through the Alabama Certificate Reciprocity Approach. Current requirements may be found at www.alsde.edu.
Nursing: State approval of a program to offer Alabama licensed nurses opportunities for advanced degrees does not indicate eligibility for approval to practice as an advanced practice nurse in Alabama. Applicants for approval in Alabama are required to meet the Alabama requirements for national certification, graduation from a specific-type program for the advanced practice approval, and completion of the appropriate application. Any program offering a pre-licensure track to Alabama students shall meet the requirements of the Alabama regulations for pre-licensure programs or the graduates may not be eligible to take the national licensure examination required by the Alabama Board of Nursing to enter the practice. www.abn.alabama.gov

These Fact Sheets provide specific information for the Master of Science in Speech Language-Pathology (MS-SLP) program offered at its instructional site in California. This information includes the number of students enrolled, number of degree completions, students’ performance with respect to relevant professional licensing examinations, job placements within the career fields for which the program was designed, and wage and salary information that has been provided by local graduates.

The following speech language pathology programs are authorized for delivery in Iowa via distance education modality by the Iowa College Student Aid Commission. Residents considering enrollment in these programs should recognize the following requirements for practicing in the State of Iowa.
The Maryland Higher Education Commission has determined that Nova Southeastern University’s application for registration of online programs is in compliance with the requirements of the Education Article, Title 11, Subtitle 2, Annotated Code of Maryland and COMAR 13B.05.01.
Students should note that the process for filing and resolution of complaints is described in detail through the Maryland Higher Education Commission - Student Complaint Process.
Online students located in Maryland should recognize that Nova Southeastern University is subject to investigation of complaints by the Office of the Attorney General of the Maryland Higher Education Commission.
Nova Southeastern University is registered with the Minnesota Office of Higher Education pursuant to Minnesota Statutes sections 136A.61 to 136A.71. Registration is not an endorsement of the institution. Credits earned at the institution may not transfer to all other institutions.
Nova Southeastern University is a nonprofit corporation authorized by the State of Oregon to offer and confer the academic degree described herein, following a determination that state academic standards will be satisfied under OAR 583-030. Nova Southeastern University is authorized by the Washington Student Achievement Council and meets the requirements and minimum educational standards established for degree-granting institutions under the Degree-Granting Institutions Act. This authorization is subject to periodic review and authorizes Nova Southeastern University to offer specific degree programs. The Council may be contacted for a list of currently authorized programs. Authorization by the Council does not carry with it an endorsement by the Council of the institution or its programs. Statement Regarding Transfer of Credit
Credits earned at Nova Southeastern University are transferable only at the discretion of the receiving school. Students who wish to transfer credit are advised to contact the admissions office of the receiving school for information.
Statement Regarding Course Cancellation
Nova Southeastern University reserves the right to cancel any class. If a class is cancelled and a replacement is not offered, then students will receive a full refund of tuition paid for the cancelled class. If the student registered for only one class, then the registration fee would be refunded as well.
